Wer steckt hinter GYMRACE?

Can I start together with a friend if we register solo?

A few weeks before the event, GYMRACE communicates the start times. If you are not placed together, you can mail us and we will help within our possibilities.

If you want to participate as a group and start at the same time, you should register in one order and all for the same category (so not for example some solo and some buddies).

The start time division at GYMRACE, which will be made later, is very tight.

Can I change my ticket category?

You can change your category up to one month before the event, provided the category is not sold out. There is no waiting list. After this date, no changes are possible.

Are there changing rooms, locker rooms, and showers?

There are changing rooms for GYMRACE participants. Showers are not available. There is a (guarded) checkroom where you can drop off a (small) sports bag. Immediately after your finish you can pick up your bag.

Are weights the same for men and women in the mixed buddies' category?

Yes, in the mixed buddies' category, the weight standard for men applies. All weights are listed at https://www.gymrace.com/de-race.

Are there prizes and results lists?

Your time will be displayed at the finish line and later published online on the Your Results page. Prizes are available for winners in the HEAVY categories. Information about prizes and award ceremonies will be announced before the event. Remember: it's all about your personal performance! The most important thing is that you show up at the start.

Are spectators welcome?

Absolutely! Spectators are welcome with banners, cameras, and vuvuzelas—but no pets (unless you consider yourself a “beast”). Tickets are required for spectators aged 18 and older and can be purchased in the ticket shop.

How do I know whether my registration is successful?

You are properly registered if you have received a confirmation email after your payment. Your ticket will also appear in your personal GYMRACE profile.

How do I get to GYMRACE?

GYMRACE takes place at Jaarbeurs in Utrecht and in RAI in Amsterdam. More travel information is available on the Jaarbeurs and RAI websites.

Is there a cut-off time at GYMRACE?

The average finish time is 1 hour, 20 minutes. There is no cut-off time. You may always finish your race.

I lost something; what should I do?

If you lose something during the event and notice it immediately, report it at the check-in desk. This is where we collect lost items. If your item hasn’t been turned in, contact us at service@gymrace.com with a clear description of the item and the location where you lost it.

How can I adjust my registration?

Have you registered for GYMRACE and would you like to make a change to your ticket? Log in to your GYMRACE profile and click the 'Edit' button to adjust your ticket.

How do I sign up as a volunteer?

We already like you for asking this! GYMRACE only happens thanks to volunteers. Sign up on the website!

Do I have to complete all parts of the race?

GYMRACE is a race from start to finish. This means that as a participant you must do all the parts. See more information on our website about the race and the parts.

How can I contact GYMRACE?

If your question isn’t answered in this FAQ, contact us at service@gymrace.com. We aim to respond within 3 business days.

Is it possible to cancel a participant/DUO team and get a refund?

Unfortunately, cancellations and refunds are not possible, in line with our Terms & Conditions.

However, you may transfer your ticket to another participant by personalizing it in your GYMRACE profile.

How do I get my free participant ticket?

Your free ticket is valid for GYMRACE in the same weekend or a Mud Masters event in the Netherlands or Germany. It's a solo ticket. Before the event, you will receive more information from us on how to redeem this participant ticket. You do not need to purchase a ticket yourself.

I bought a second-hand ticket; how can I change it to my name?

If you have acquired a ticket from someone, the original ticket can be personalized online in your name by the previous owner through their GYMRACE profile. Please note that GYMRACE has no oversight of sales through Marketplace or Ticketswap and can only guarantee participation if the ticket was purchased directly through our website. Participation in GYMRACE can only be in your own name and not in someone else's name, because of the competition element.

Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?

Can no longer participate in GYMRACE yourself and have found someone to take over your ticket(s)? Then you can transfer your ticket(s) by logging into your GYMRACE profile and personalizing the ticket to another person. This way you give your ticket to someone else. He or she will receive an email with the ticket as a result.

Please note, GYMRACE is a competition and your ticket is personal and in your name.

How is the work divided in the buddy category?

BUDDIES run each kilometer together. At the stations, you may divide the reps however you choose. For example, with 100 reps, you can do 50/50, any other split, or switch every 10 reps.

What general terms apply to my registration?
