Relay Teamrace

Big news: GYMRACE is expanding. Alongside the solo and buddy categories, we’re introducing relay, a team race where speed, strategy, and teamwork collide.

The relay is your perfect entry into GYMRACE, as you take on just 1/5 of the full race. But don’t get it twisted, the pace is high. It’s also the ultimate way to race with your gym crew, or to go all-in and take on an extra race in the same weekend.

How does it work?

You form a team of 3 to 5 athletes. Male, female, or mixed: as long as there’s at least one athlete of the opposite sex in your team. The race consists of five rounds of 1 km running, combined with workouts. Each athlete completes one run and two workouts, then tags the next teammate in the ‘Relay Zone’, who starts immediately. No breaks. No delays. Just momentum.

While one teammate is pushing on the course, the rest are locked in, ready for the next handoff. This continues until all five rounds are completed and your final teammate crosses the finish line.

The rules

The relay follows the same rules and weights as the solo category (excluding heavy variations). Fair racing, clear standards, and a level playing field, exactly what you expect from GYMRACE.

Why relay?

Because racing hits different when you do it together. The pressure. The energy. The moment you get tagged and have to go. That’s where it happens. You’re not just racing for yourself, you’re racing for your team.

Are you in?

Pick your event, select the relay in the ticket shop, and register your team. Not complete yet? No problem, you can add names later. This is GYMRACE at its best: race together, push together, celebrate together.
