The very first GYMRACE is now officially underway, and you're part of it!

Below you will find all the information you need for a smooth GYMRACE.

Check-in opens at 7:30 a.m.

Start time and e-ticket

Double-check your start time on your e-ticket via your personal GYMRACE profile. Bring a printed copy of your ticket with you to the event or download it to your phone at home.


‍Arrive 1 hour in advance

To ensure a smooth flow through (and therefore the best experience!), we ask you to arrive at the Jaarbeurs no later than 1 hour before your start time. Make sure you are at the warm-up zone 20 minutes before your start time.

Meeting point

Are you participating as BUDDIES or with multiple GYMRACERS? Then it is best to agree to meet at the GYMRACE check-in just outside hall 3, or at the catering area inside hall 3. It is not advisable to meet in the car park, as there are several car parks.

What to wear?

We recommend standard gym outfit with shorts and short sleeves or sleeveless tops. Make sure your shoes are comfortable for running. Avoid shoes with too much cushioning, as these are less stable for exercises such as the 100 Wall Balls.

Wardrobe & changing rooms

It is advisable to arrive already changed and with a (small) sports bag. You can leave it in the wardrobe. The wardrobe is supervised by security personnel. Only bring essential valuables with you and share a bag where possible. This will help us avoid crowding in the wardrobe.

There are changing rooms. There are no showers in the complex.

The GYMRACE map!

You don't have to memorise the entire map below. The route is clearly marked. Make sure you do the different zones in the correct order. At all 5 zones, there is an inflatable arch with a 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5.

Your GYMRACE start! ⤵️

After the starting signal, you will immediately start the first 1 km run (2 laps of 500 metres) outside the START in the outdoor running zone 🏃

You will enter the hall and go to ‘inflatable arch 1’. There you will do the following:

𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗜 - 𝟱𝟬𝗺 𝗦𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝘂𝘀𝗵 immediately followed by 𝗪𝗼𝗿 𝗸𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗜𝗜 - 𝟭𝟬𝟬 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘀.

After the Wall Balls, leave the workout zone and follow the arrows until you are back outside for the next 1 km run. Then go back inside, this time to ‘inflatable arch 2’, where you do 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗜𝗜𝗜 𝗲𝗻 𝗜𝗩.

Follow the above system until you reach ‘inflatable arch 5’. After the Burpee Broad Jumps and final sprint, you will reach your epic finish! 🏁

Rules and judges:

Read through the rulebook again beforehand. This will allow you to race without any inhibitions. If you have any questions, you can ask them on site. There will also be judges to guide you during your race. Some parts will be tested with ‘AI-judges’.

Are there prizes and results lists?

At the finish line, you will see your time on the clock. This will later be posted online on the Your Results page. Prizes are available for the winners in the HEAVY categories. No matter which category you compete in, it's all about your personal performance! The most important thing is that you show up at the start.

Catering

Food and drinks will be available for purchase in the GYMRACE hall.

Spectators

Spectator tickets are available in our online ticket shop and at the check-in desk at the event. Young people under the age of 18 are admitted free of charge. To be on the safe side, buy your spectator tickets in advance. A limited number of tickets are available to avoid crowds. This will ensure that all participants and spectators have a good and safe experience.

Final tip: high fives, cheers and cardboard signs along the route will give the participants wings!
